Fan Favorite James Christmas‘ Alphonse Crab

The Alphonse crab which is more often called the Alphlexo Crab has become a staple for all permit anglers. James Christmas was one of the first to pull chenille legs through the body of the Flexo body that creates the very translucent and realistic body of a crab pattern. Christmas originally designed this fly to target Triggerfish on a trip to Alphonse Island in 2014. Later it was further developed to unlock the secret to the Indo-Pacific permit in the Indian Ocean.
